There are no words to describe how fucking angry this makes me.

I know. It’s appalling

This is why when people I know are like "you're still mad about 2016? come on, lets not relitigate!" I'm like I WILL BE MAD ABOUT 2016 UNTIL THE DAY I DIE.

Texas women voted for Trump.

Texas women voted for Cruz.

If Texas women aren't willing to save themselves, there's not much the rest of us can do.

The women most at risk though are women who likely didn’t vote for them, black women.

Also, I live in Florida, a place where the majority of people voted for Republicans as well and my life is in danger from the abortion bans. I don’t think people should stop trying to help people like me just because those other morons elected garbage

How are the rest of us supposed to help when your fellow Floridans and Texans aren't willing to listen?

I sent money to Colin Allread. I sent money to Debbie Mucarsel Powell.

Frankly, I don't see how even a Republican voted for Rick Scott and Ted Cruz.

I don't want your life at risk but unless you leave your state, I don't see how to fix it.

Maryland just guaranteed reproductive care in our state Constitution. So have other states.

Vote with your feet.

That’s easier said than done. My son is a college student who received a 4-year scholarship that requires us to live in Florida. So we can’t just pick up and leave. If he gets into medical school here, we will be here even longer.

My point is that we shouldn’t just write off women in red states who need us because their neighbors screwed them.

We tried.

You're being screwed over by your neighbors.

Give me a way you think the rest of us can change your state government or the national government, and I'm in.

Florida reelected Rick Scott for the third time after he made his money stealing from Medicare.

Texas reelected Ted Cruz.

Nebraska reelected Deb Fischer.

Missouri reelected Josh Hawley.

It's not like all of those states didn't have a choice.

Suggestion: donate to “underground” networks that help women receive the abortion care that they need.

Seriously?

"Look at the hellhole we created for women -- you should move here!"

Exactly. There’s literally no excuse.

The AMA and every other medical organization should just declare that they will provide no medical services in Texas. Essentially, every medical professional in Texas should go on strike to demand that they be allowed to provide medical care when, in the opinion of medical experts, it's needed.

I largely blame the Evangelical community, and other extreme religious churches, for the war on abortion, IUDs, and all birth control in America. Condoms are okay, though, because they protect MALES from STDs. As women became more financially successful, and started graduating from college at higher rates than men, a LOT of men, who were insecure about their masculinity, began to feel threatened by these women. More women than men graduate from college. Women were winning jobs and promotions over men. These men with fragile masculinities wanted women OUT of the workforce, staying home raising kids. Therefore, make birth control difficult to obtain. Make abortion a crime. Use the churches to convince parishioners that birth control is evil. Very many “Christian” males have fragile masculinities. They despise women who are intelligent, educated, and courageous, and competing with them for jobs/promotions.

Unbelievable, Texas is at war with it's women, and it's only going to get worse. I'm convinced that they won't stop until there's prison sentences handed down. Then they'll Televise IT on the Fox channel. Thank You, for your reporting this morning ☕ and will reStack ASAP 💯👍

But don’t ya remember Gov. Abbott said after enacting the most draconian abortion bill that included rape, “ We’ll get rid of rape!”

Nobody is reminding him of that.

I cannot "like" this comment. I would like to see agree/ disagree instead of like/dislike or both being a comment option.

That said, I am outraged and disgusted by these men who are endangering women's lives. Bobbetize them, one and all.

Shannon, I’ve just searched all through my sock drawer for feelings about only 61% of registered Texas voters getting off their asses, but I found none, just some unaffiliated lint.
